Community Center of LCF After School Programs
The LCFCC Preschool proudly offers after school enrichment classes exclusively for our students. Children can choose from a variety of reasonably priced classes which are taken at the Community Center (www.cclcf.org). Classes are limited so be sure to sign up early by visiting or calling the Community Center at 818.790.4353. A list of classes being offered for Fall 2010 to the MWF and Pre-K students is as follows:
Mondays:
All-Stars
Session 1: Sept 20-Oct 25 Session 2: Nov 1-Dec 13 (no class Nov 22) $85/session
Nurture your child’s interest in games and sports in a non-competitive environment where the focus is on fun! Children learn the valuable skills of good sportsmanship and being a team player while developing athletic skill and confidence.

Cooking
Session 1: Sept 20-Oct 25 Session 2: Nov 1-Dec 13 (no class Nov 22) $105/session
Come join us for this hands-on, fun class where kids will learn how to make some of their favorite recipes and some new ones too! Recipes will be based on some favorite childhood stories.

Fairytales & Folklore
Session 1: Sept 22-Oct27 Session 2: Nov 3-Dec 15 (no class Nov 24) $85/session
Travel the world and discover fairytales and folktales from faraway places! Each week we'll travel to a different country and read a fairytale or folktale and learn about the country from where the story originates. We'll follow with crafts, games, music and more! This multi-cultural adventure will nurture your child's imagination and love of books through rich, meaningful stories.

Spanish
Session 1: Sept 22-Oct27 Session 2: Nov 3-Dec 15 (no class Nov 24) $110/session
Learning another language can be fun! Expose your children to a second language through fun activities and games. The children will also enjoy exploring the Spanish culture as they learn new words.

Fridays:
Fun with Clay
Session 1: Sept 24-Dec 3 (no class Nov 12 & 26) $150
Learn how to manipulate clay with your hands! Use pinch, coil, and slab methods to create pots and small sculptures. Children will take home their glazed and fired clay projects.
Friday 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Dance
Session 1: Sept 24-Dec 3 (no class Nov 12 & 26) $120
Tap your toes, shake your hips, and jump around in this class full of energy! Put to fun music the kids are sure to get excited about, this class introduces some basic
dance steps and simple choreography. The session ends with a small recital for friends and parents.

Class registrations do not “roll-over”; please register for each individual session at the Center’s main office or by phone (818) 790-4353.
Parents will be notified of any changes to your child’s class schedules through notices/announcements at the
Preschool.
